Binoculars and Barn Owls

View from the office todayToday the recently ordered RSPB binoculars arrived!! Wack has no clue, as he can spot a mole at ten thousand paces, but for me this has opened a new world!! Not only could I identify a tit, I could even tell you which one (I’ve seen Robins, Blue tits, Great tits and Coal tits on our bird table within 10 minutes). I then went to the land and actually saw our resident Barn owl, I followed it flying (apparently it is called quartering), watched it sit on a post and in a tree. It looked at me, and I could see all the distinguishing colours/marks on it’s face. Fantastic. Meanwhile Wack transported water to the land, and salvaged a 200 ltr container for future use.
