Pogoinia ophioglossoides features a delicate, fragrant pink flower with a heavily bearded, fringed lower lip and thrives in highly acidic, continuously wet environments like bogs, fens, and swamps.
Key Characteristics & Care
    • Appearance: Grows 30–60 cm tall with a single clasping leaf halfway up the stem and one showy, rose-pink flower (rarely two).
    • Fragrance: Famous for its sweet scent that resembles fresh red raspberries.
    • Growing Conditions: Requires full sun to partial shade and very wet, acidic soil (such as pure sphagnum peat).
    • Hardiness: Highly cold-hardy, typically thriving in USDA Zones 3–8.
