Nepenthes (Asian Pitcher Plant) – Care Leaflet

Summer

> Indirect sun in the summer, humid

> Rainwater only, water from the top, ensure the plant drinks the water before you refill the saucer. Spray regularly, fill up the pitchers

> The plant needs high humidity, does well in bright bathrooms with frosted glass

Feeding: we have never found this to be necessary, as the plants only require a few insects per year to survive. If you are worried, give it an insect in one of the mature pitchers

Winter

> This plant is tropical. Grow indoors in winter, full winter sum is fine

Rainwater alternatives: distilled, de-ionised, reverse osmosis water

Repotting: When the plant is bursting out of it’s pot, in a specific peat and perlite mixture or specialist peat free mix (both available from our online shop).

We highly recommend you research your plants on the internet for more detailed information, or browse our website.
