Heliamphora (South American Pitcher Plant) – Care Leaflet
Summer
> Indirect sun in summer, humid
> Rainwater only, it can sit in water, but ensure the plant drinks the water before you refill the saucer. Spray daily, fill up the pitchers
Feeding: we have never found this to be necessary, as the plants only require a few insects per year to survive. If you are worried, give it an insect in one of the mature pitchers
Winter
> This plant prefers temperatures between 10
Rainwater alternatives: distilled, de-ionised, reverse osmosis water
Repotting: when the plant is bursting out of its pot, in a specific peat and pertile mixture or specialist peat free mix (both available from our online shop).
We highly recommend you research your plants on the internet for more detailed information, or browse our website.
