The season has started

As happens every year, in January there is loads of time, and before you know it the season has started. And suddenly we are already 2 shows in, quite a few still to go

Harrogate Spring Flower Show was great, busy, and another premier gold for the collection

As always here in North Yorkshire, it is touch and go whether the plants will be ready in time on our unheated nursery.

Only a week in between, then Malvern Three Counties Show arrived. Another RHS gold, see main picture. The show was very busy, and so many visitors commented on seeing the Sarracenia flowering. We were also represented in the house plant section (festival of house plants) by Kayla, who put together her own set-up, on her very first show, and manned the sales area on her own for the entire show. Feedback has been great, both about Kayla and her T-shirts (KP range)

Fabulous Kate Mason (@KMgardendesign on instagram) borrowed some plants for her design. Her garden was brilliant, she got lots of coverage on BBC Gardeners World, and our plants were shown quite a few times. She also kept sending customers our way who did not realise Sarracenia could grow outdoors - well, they do here in Yorkshire!! It has been a pleasure to work with you Kate, huge luck and joy for your future projects!

Next week will see the return of our #Chelsea@Scampston. We are planning a different display for this one. No previews!! Come and see for yourself. The nursery will be open during the Chelsea week, from 10 am to 4 pm, from Wednesday May 21st to Sunday May 25th. The plants are looking amazing at the moment, well worth a visit.

And finally, a cute photo of Billy, who since covid does not want to be left on his own anymore. This picture was taken while we were loading the car, and kept him inside for his own safety. By the look of things I think he expects us to leave him behind
